Jean-Michel Basquiat was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1960, and from the start, he embodied the essence of multiculturalism. With a Haitian father and a Puerto Rican mother, Basquiat was immersed in a rich blend of cultures that profoundly shaped his artistic identity.
